Database

To do only once. An install.sql file is provided in the package's database/ folder.

Step 1: Create the database

CREATE DATABASE agent CHARACTER SET utf8mb4 COLLATE utf8mb4_unicode_ci;

Step 2: A dedicated user

Avoid using root for the server.

SQL

CREATE USER 'agent'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'a_strong_password';
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON agent.* TO 'agent'@'localhost';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

Step 3: Import the schema

Via phpMyAdmin / HeidiSQL (Import → install.sql) or on the command line:

Terminal

mysql -u agent -p agent < database/install.sql

Safe to run: the file uses CREATE TABLE IF NOT EXISTS and INSERT IGNORE. Most tables actually create themselves at first start: the import mainly guarantees the base tables (users, jobs, items…) and the starting data.
